Administration Building

The Administration Building Refurbishment is an internal City of Marion upgrade designed to modernise the workspace, enhancing functionality, collaboration, and efficiency. This project will transform the outdated layout into an open-plan design with improved accessibility, upgraded workstations, and reconfigured office spaces to better support staff and community needs. Key improvements include new meeting rooms, breakout areas, ergonomic furniture, updated technology, and sustainable design features to create a more productive and future-ready workplace.

The refurbishment will include a new floorplan, installing new fixtures and fittings, and improving lighting, acoustics, and ventilation. Careful planning will ensure minimal disruption while delivering a high-quality, efficient workspace that fosters innovation, teamwork, and long-term sustainability.

In person support

Our Customer Service counter will remain open during regular business hours (8:30 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday)

Parking

The main entrance off of Sturt Road will now serve as the primary car park. Visitors will be directed to park in the front car park close to the front main entrance.

Building access

Please use the front main entrance for all Customer Service needs, including Justice of the Peace services. The rear entrance will be closed to the public.

Noise and works

Works commence in June 2025. While work will be visible, daily operations will continue as usual.

Council meetings

There will be no change to the location of public meetings, these will continue as scheduled.
