Sustainability Rebates

You can receive a rebate for taking sustainable actions such as planting natives on your verge, looking after your tree and purchasing home composting products.

Greener Verges rebate

Receive a rebate of 50 per cent (up to $500) of the total cost of development when you beautify your verge. This includes planting native plants or lawn and adding mulch, soil and compost to your verge.

Approval to develop or garden on your verge must be received before applying for the rebate. 
To receive approval submit a Verge Development Application Form.

Regulated Tree Maintenance rebate

This rebate helps property owners maintain their Regulated and Significant trees. The rebate covers the following:

  • Arborist report, when works are subsequently undertaken on the tree
  • Tree Pruning
  • Pest and Disease Control

Home Composting rebate

Receive a 50 per cent (up to $40) rebate on the following items that were purchased in the last 12 months:

  • Compost bin
  • Worm farm
  • Bokashi bucket or starter kit
  • Compost worms (booster boxes)

Thanks to the South Australian Government’s Retailer Energy Productivity Scheme (REPS), you can stay cool this summer with a discount of up to $1000 off an energy-efficient air conditioner.
