Horses
The City of Marion has developed the attached ‘A quick reference guide: Residential amenity standards for horse keeping in the City of Marion.’
This guide is intended to provide both horse stable operators and residents with an overview of what council considers to be the reasonable operation of horse keeping facilities.
The guide also sets out the requirements for the placing of manure bags for public collection.
The City of Marion recognises the contribution made to the city by horse keeping. We hope this guide will provide our community with an understanding of council’s approach to balancing stable operator rights to operate their business lawfully in conjunction with residential rights to amenity.
