Things to do
Find family support services, including a list of playgroups via Playgroups SA, library events (What’s On booklet), and Community Centre programs. Enjoy story time, crafts, and workshops at libraries, plus parenting support and activities at community centres. Explore Words Grow Minds, a state-funded initiative promoting early language development. With so many resources available, there’s always something to support and enrich your family’s journey.
Playgroups can provide a wonderful opportunity to support the wellbeing and development of children in the early years. Playgroups also provide opportunities for parents and carers to meet together, build community and support each other through the journey of raising children. See Playgroup SA website for up-to-date information for groups to join.
City of Marion Libraries offer a variety of events, classes, workshops and activities throughout the year from adult workshops and author events, to storytelling sessions and baby bounce for the little ones.
The City of Marion has 4 Community Centres located in Glandore, Mitchell Park, Sturt and Trott Park. We have a large range of workshops, programs, services and events on offer - there is something for everyone.
Browse our brand-new program guide below to find out about everything we are offering during the term and school holidays.
The Words Grow Minds campaign gets straight to the heart of how parents and caregivers can help babies and young children thrive - it’s as simple as talking, reading, playing, and singing together from birth.
Words Grow Minds is funded by the Government of South Australia.
