Aldridge Avenue

Aldridge Avenue Reserve has undergone a brand new upgrade with several improvements to the playground, surrounding courts and reserve.

The scope of works includes junior play, court improvements, irrigation, and landscaping.

It is a fantastic reserve with a basketball tower for the future 36ers and a netball ring for those who aspire to play for the Thunderbirds.

You can play tennis on the courts or have a kick of the footy on the grassy area and there is also a great soccer target board to test your skills.

There is also compacted gravel path circling the courts which is perfect for learning BMX or trail riding with a more challenging roller bridge for children to navigate over

These upgrades were jointly funded by the City of Marion and State Government.

Key elements in the concept plan include:

  • Trampoline
  • Nature and water play
  • Extension to existing bike track
  • Soccer practice goals
  • Landscaping and irrigation
  • Court improvements

We thank Member for Badcoe Jayne Stinson for the State Government’s $200,000 contribution to bring this space to life.
