More than 130 people braved wet 'n' wild conditions at the Marion Outdoor Pool on Monday night for the annual pool party hosted by the Mayor.
The City of Marion has hosted an annual event at the pool for a number of years with the aim of bringing together residents from diverse backgrounds in an inclusive environment.
Stormy weather failed to deter families from enjoying the festivities at the pool with adults and children taking advantage of a free night at one of City of Marion's premier facilities.
Those who attended enjoyed free food, free waterslides and access to all the great swimming facilities.
The weather cleared up during the evening making it another very successful event.
“Many new Australians are choosing to make Marion their home and we celebrate our culturally, linguistically and religiously diverse communities,” Mayor of Marion Kris Hanna said..
The Marion community has more than 95,000 residents from more than 100 different cultures who live in 28 suburbs.
