Conditions

1. The permit holder will abide by the vehicle access route approved by the City of Marion at all times and will not stray or wander from this route.2. Any public engaged in activities on Community Land in proximity to the path of access will be notified of the access activities and proposed access pathway by the permit holder or their contractor, prior to any vehicular movements.3. No materials or equipment shall be stockpiled on Community Land without the written consent of the City of Marion.

The Local Nuisance & Litter Control act 2016 came into effect on 1 July 2017 to support and enhance our environment by strengthening local nuisance and litter management services within South Australian communities and to ensure environmental complaints are responded to efficiently.Noise (any sound that a person doesn’t want to hear) can and may be categorised as local nuisance.Council is able to consider the granting of an exemption from local nuisance causing activities upon application. Conditions

As a food vendor onsite during the event, I will:

  1. Ensure I meet the requirements of the Food Standards Code, and;
  2. Have a probe thermometer onsite if any part of my food needs temperature control, and;
  3. Have food grade sanitiser onsite, and;
  4. Have appropriate hand washing facilities next to my food preparation/storage area(s), and;
  5. Ensure food is protected from contamination.

Liquor

The consumption and/or possession of alcohol is not permitted. This includes possessing alcohol in 'open containers'. A recorked or temporarily resealed container is still considered an open container.
Consumer and Business Services (CBS) is responsible for administering the Liquor Licensing Act 1997, please contact CBS on 131 882 or refer to their website www.cbs.sa.gov.au for full details on liquor licensing requirements.Please provide a copy of your liquor licence once received from CBS to City of Marion's Special Event Permit Coordinator.

Conditions

1. The consumption and/or possession of alcohol will not occur unless permitted by the Consumer and Business Services (CBS) (responsible for administering the Liquor Licensing Act 1997).2. All conditions of the approval from CBS to be adhered to at all times.3. Under no circumstances is liquor to be consumed outside the area detailed in the liquor licence.4. A copy of the Licence to be forward to the City of Marion.5. The designated Responsible Officer to be in attendance at all times.6. The Licensee shall at all times ensure that noise levels are in accordance within Council Guidelines and the Liquor Licencing Regulations.7. All entertainment shall cease one hour prior to closing time.8. Garbage or refuse (including empty bottles and cans) is not to be collected for kerbside waste disposal (or similar) between the hours of 11pm and 7am the following morning. Council encourages you to recycle and dispose of waste responsibly.9. The Licensee shall have displayed at all exits from the premises clearly visible signs with wording that reflects that patrons should leave the premises as quietly and quickly as possible to reduce disturbance to nearby residents.

Conditions

1. The total area of all banners and/or signage of this kind on one building or site must not be more than two square metres (if this criteria is not met, development approval is required).2. The banners and/or signage must only be displayed for a period not exceeding one month prior to the event and for one week after the conclusion of the event.3. The banners and/or signage display must not move, flash, reflect light and not be internally illuminated.4. The banners and/or signage shall be affixed flat against the surface, in a well secured manner.5. The banners and/or signage shall be fixed in a position where it does not obstruct the vision of motorists, or may pose a hazard to pedestrians or other road users.6. Banners and/or signage must be securely fixed, or posted and maintained in good repair and conditions at all times.7. Banners and/or signage must be designed, made and presented in a quality manner (the intent is that signs must not tear apart and become a danger to road users and end up as litter).8. Banners and/or signage must not reduce the effectiveness of other signs and traffic control devices.9. Banners and/or signage must not be affixed under any circumstances to trees, shrubs, or other plants or at any location that may cause damage to Council property.10. The wording on banners and/or signage should be appropriate. Approval will not be given for signage which is pornographic, offensive, defamatory, abusive, sexist, racist, illegal etc.11. The person or organisation erecting the banners and/or signage is also responsible for ensuring that safety is maintained whilst the sign is being installed or removed, and that no traffic disruption is to occur during the installation or removal process.12. It is a condition precedent to the granting of consent that if any breach occurs which results in action by or on behalf of the Council to enforce the conditions of the policy and thereby results in costs and expenses for the Council, then such costs and expenses will be recovered by the Council from the person(s)/organisation responsible. These costs will include removal and/or destruction of the offending material by an officer or agent of the Council.13. Should the applicant propose to use property belonging to any party - other than Council, they must firstly obtain the written consent of that third party. Upon request by the Council, the applicant must produce such written consent. In cases where there is property involved belonging to any other party, Council approval will be subject to all of the relevant matters contained in this policy.

Conditions

1. To monitor weather conditions in the days leading up and day of the event to ensure that the inflatable amusement will be safe to use:- Wind forecast in excess of 29 kilometres per hour,- Wind gusts in excess of 40 kilometres per hour,- Extremely hot days; and- Rain.Visit the Bureau of Meteorology website to monitor weather conditions www.bom.gov.au.2. Ensuring safe setup and operation of inflatable device:- Ensuring that device is in an adequate location and on an adequate surface,- Inflatable device is adequately secured to the ground,- Inflatable device is in good working condition and regularly inspected for excessive wear, rips, tears, etc.,- Inflation is maintained for inflatable device to prevent deflation/collapse; and- Ensuring that anchor points, and air/power connection do not present a tripping/falling hazard.3. A responsible adult will at all times monitor and supervise the conduct of all users of the inflatable amusement to:- Prevent overenthusiastic participants by ensuring safe use (colliding with users, unsafe jumps/flips, etc.),- Ensuring only proper users (age/size groups, weight limits, maximum number of users, etc.); and- Ensuring that users are observing safety guidelines (no shoes, no food/drink, sharp objects, etc.).4. Having a plan in place should an emergency arise:- Familiarising yourself with the nearest medical centre,- Remain calm, call triple 000,- Do not move persons with suspected neck/back injuries; and- Best ease of access to the location should emergency services need to be called.

Event organisers of all private events are required to manage and remove any waste generated by their event/activity.
The City of Marion is committed to minimising waste at community events/activities and will provide additional bins upon request (does not include private events).

Please highlight on your site map the location you would like the additional bins delivered to at the reserve.Bins will aim to be delivered to the reserve one business day prior and removed the following business day after the event/activity (unless requested otherwise).
To encourage more recycling and less waste at community events/activities, the City of Marion has free bin covers available to borrow (see image below). We ask that you use these at your event/activity (the Special Event Coordinator will be in contact regarding the collection of these).dustbins
Please note for large community events the City of Marion's Education Officer Waste and Recycling may contact you directly to discuss good waste management practices.
In some cases, the City of Marion may be able to assist promoting your event to the local community through a variety of mediums including the the website event calendar and social media platforms.Please note: It will be at the discretion of the City of Marion to determine which events are supported and how they are promoted.

Other

1. The permit holder agrees to indemnify and to keep indemnified the City of Marion, its servant and agents and each of them from and against all actions, costs, claims, damages, charges and expenses whatsoever which may be brought or made or claimed against them or any of them arising out of or in relation to the issuing of the permit.

2. Organisations such as companies and incorporated bodies, businesses and schools must take out and keep current a public risk insurance policy in the name of the permit holder insuring the permit holder for the minimum sum of ten million dollars ($10,000,000) against all actions, cost, claims, damages, charges and expenses whatsoever which may be brought or made or claimed against the permit holder in relation to the activity.

3. The permit holder must provide confirmation of insurance to the City of Marion. Such policy shall bear the endorsement of the Insurer indicating the Insurer accepts the indemnity given by the permit holder.

4. A copy of Public Liability Insurance Certificate of Currency for a minimum of ten million dollars ($10,000,000) for the event is required for all third party organisations involved with the road closure e.g. traffic management personnel, etc.

5. During the life of this permit the permit holder is responsible for the safety of any public that enter the permitted area and shall have appropriate risk management and fire prevention controls in place.

6. The permit holder shall comply with and give all notices required by any Act of Parliament, Ordinance, Regulation or By-law relating to the activity.

7. No food or drink will be offered for sale by any permit holder without the prior approval of the City of Marion.

8. No music system amplified sound or amusement structure to be used by any permit holder without the prior approval of the City of Marion.

9. The permit holder shall ensure that its site or sites are left in a clean and tidy condition at the end of the event. Failure to do so may result in cleaning/reinstatement fees being charged.

10. All electrical items used at the site must be suitable for purpose, tagged and tested, maintained according to the manufacturer’s instructions and comply with the Work Safe Code of Practice.

11. Any utility services (water, sewer, electrical etc.) damaged during the access activities are to be immediately reported to the relevant authority.

12. Appropriate weighted infrastructure will only be used, there will be no pegging of infrastructure into reserve grounds.

13. Any damage to the site must be repaired/reinstated to City of Marion standards as a priority (within 24 hours if it's a public hazard). Should restoration not be completed within a reasonable time and/or the area is left in an unsafe condition, the City of Marion will reinstate the area at the permit holders expense.

14. This permit will not come into operation until full approval is provided by the City of Marion and is returned to you.

15. This permit is liable to be revoked by the City of Marion if the permit holder fails to comply with a condition of this permit or may be revoked in any other justifiable circumstance.

16. This permit does not provide exclusive access to the reserve/community land. The permit holder cannot restrict/prohibit other users to access the reserve or use Council facilities.

17. The permit is not transferable.
