This is an off-leash park where dogs can exercise off-leash, except within 5 metres of a playground, at a wetland or when organised sport is being played.

About the Reserve

Tarturninthi Reserve is adjacent to Trowbridge Avenue Reserve.

Tarturninthi and Trowbridge Reserves, Mitchell Park were upgraded in 2024.

The site includes:

  • Multi-station with stairs, slide, fireman's pole, climbing net and climbing wall
  • Standard swings with toddler seat
  • Junior rocker
  • Trampoline
  • 3 on 3 asphalt basketball and netball court
  • Irrigated turf
  • Seating
  • Drink fountain

Water Sensitive Urban Design

History

In April 1997 these new wetlands were named Tartonendi (now Tarturninthi) which is a Kaurna word meaning 'transforming the land into wetlands'.
