Tonsley Village Green's Playgrounds - Central Reserve
A linear open space offers a variety of exercise, recreation and play options. A drawcard of the reserve is the custom play element which represents the Valiant charger - a historic nod to the iconic charger once manufactured at Tonsley. This custom-built play piece offers a space for climbing and imaginative play.
Other site features include in-ground trampolines, a mound slide, a climbing rope a hill climbing challenge, and a spinner. There is a hammock swing, a wheelchair accessible carousel. One of the trampolines is also wheelchair accessible. There are several monkey bars, a dip bar station and a stationary bicycle station.
Those looking to extend their stay in the area can use the two barbeques, drinking fountain with dog bubbler attachment, 2 picnic tables with shelters, and a toilet. These features and facilities surrounded by open lawns make it an ideal spot for picnics and casual gatherings.

Tonsley Village Green has 6773 square metres of public open space for the community to use and enjoy. The area features 4609 square metres of irrigated lawn and 3893 square metres of mulched garden beds.
More than 670 trees and over 11,000 shrubs and native plants have been planted to suit local conditions and contribute to biodiversity. An irrigation system has been installed to support plant growth year-round.
